Mexico Pastors College - Training Pastors & Planters

An update from Edgar Flores, Dean of the Mexico Pastors College…

By the Lord’s grace, we were able to celebrate the graduation of the fourth class of the Mexico Pastors College. It was an occasion of great joy and gratitude as we witnessed, once again, God’s faithfulness and goodness.

Over the past year, we witnessed the Lord’s generosity in providing the resources needed for the students to devote eleven months of full-time study to their preparation for pastoral ministry. This year’s graduating class consisted of four students.

This year was especially significant because three of the graduates desire to plant Sovereign Grace churches in Mexico: Eli Warren in Ciudad Juárez, Isaac Alarcón in Guadalupe, where the Rancho 3M Orphanage is located, and Alejandro Mascareño in Mexicali.

During the graduation ceremony, Pastor Carlos Contreras exhorted the graduates to aspire to be faithful to the Lord. On behalf of the graduating class, Eli Warren shared a message of gratitude, reflecting on the work God accomplished in this time at the College. Following the ceremony, we enjoyed a time of fellowship and celebration, giving thanks to the Lord for this year of training.

We are also looking forward to welcoming the next class of the College, which will include three students: Alfredo Gutiérrez (Ciudad Juárez), Jesús Reyes (Tuxpan, Veracruz), and David Lucas (Oaxaca, Oaxaca). We are encouraged to see that the Lord continues to raise up men with a desire to serve His church faithfully.

We ask that you would pray for us. First, that the Lord would continue to provide the churches with the resources needed to send men to the Pastors College. Second, that He would grant us the grace to serve these men faithfully and contribute to their training, and that the Lord would continue to bring more teachers to serve at the College.

Our desire is to continue investing in the next generation of pastors for Sovereign Grace churches in Mexico and throughout Latin America. We are convinced that by doing so we are preserving and passing on the convictions we believe, embrace, and celebrate as a family of churches, all for the glory of the Lord.
