Fieles Pastors Conference 2026

An update from Carlos Contreras, National Leader of SGC Mexico…

This year’s Fieles Pastors Conference was especially significant for several reasons. First, we celebrated the 10th edition of the conference, which began in the summer of 2014. Second, the conference focused on the theme “The Worship of the Church” and served as the host venue for the Sovereign Grace Music WorshipGod Conference. Bob Kauflin provided outstanding leadership throughout the event despite continuing to recover from a serious leg injury. Third, we welcomed a record attendance of nearly 900 participants, including pastors, ministry leaders, their wives, and worship team members.

Attendees came from 27 states across Mexico and six different countries, representing more than 150 churches. Yet what encouraged my heart most was seeing the 180 volunteers from our church who served with joy, humility, and tireless dedication throughout the conference.

The main sessions centered on the biblical worship of the church and were led by our special guests Dr. Miguel Núñez and Sugel Michelén, internationally respected pastors and authors from the Dominican Republic, along with Hanibal Rodriguez, Lead Pastor of Wheaton Bible Church in Chicago. Additional messages were given by our own Joselo Mercado, Jeff Purswell, and Bob Kauflin.

The conference also featured a variety of workshops focused on both the theology and practice of corporate worship, as well as specialized musical training. One of the most well-attended workshops, Balancing Ministry and Family, was led by Jonathan and Sarah Jerez, who partner with Gracia Soberana Música in producing and recording worship music in Spanish. We were also blessed with many rich times of congregational singing. In fact, the voices were so enthusiastic and strong that my Apple Watch repeatedly alerted me that the decibel level was too high!

Our prayer is that this conference will help open the door for future WorshipGod Conferences throughout Latin America and further strengthen the ministry of Gracia Soberana Música as a faithful instrument in God’s hands, serving His church throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
